General and instrumental chemistry laboratory

Chemical tests of conformity to protect health and safety.

DSC01362

Our general and instrumental chemical laboratory focuses on identifying the quality and quantity of the substances generally described in the PRSL, Product Restricted Substances List, the main international brands, and the molecules placed under restriction to protect health and safety and the environment in national and international standards.

Below, for example, some of the main parameters examined:

Tests on leather textiles
  • Formaldehyde
  • Aromatic amines
  • Chrome VI
  • Colouring agents, allergens and carcinogens
  • Pesticides and preservatives
  • Alkylphenols
  • Phthalates
Tests on plastic, metal and glass
  • Phthalates
  • Identification of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, and other metals)
Sustainability tests
  • Identification of perfluorinated compounds (PFC)
  • Waste water: main chemical and physical parameters
  • “Metal free” and “chrome free” hides
  • Identification of bisphenols
